2022

The start of the year has been very unconventional so far, with Covid seeming to be getting under control the next challenge to the competitions seems to be the weather!

My thoughts go out to everyone affected by the flooding and extreme weather we have been having. Bree and I are lucky to be situated in a soggy but not flooded area which has put a dampener on our training and competing at the moment, but at least we haven’t lost anything.

We have managed to get out to some local dressage and jumping days which have been great for the young horses and me to get my head back in the game after interrupted seasons the last few years.

We have our fingers crossed it dries up at least a little that we can get out competing. This year looks like it might be big with Tamworth on the horizon the first CCI in NSW for what feels like forever, I am excited to get some qualifiers on Constable on our march towards 4* and a 4* qualifier on Giselle to look at qualifying for the World Eventing Championships later this year.

The young horses are putting in the miles on their journey up the levels and are looking exciting. I’m hoping with a full season this year they will really get some great competition experience and who knows where they will be at the end of this year.
